I'll draw power hungry roadrunners and start slapping together this weeks Hour Of Crap show tomorrow.
During the final night of Carnival season in New Orleans, I was switching back and forth between live broadcasts of parades and whatnot going on on Bourbon Street on YouTube; WWL, WYES and WSDU and related channels, trying to catch up with the action.
Toward the end of the channel switching marathon, I realized that I was reliving a pointless childhood dream. Back then, I had built a mini “laptop” out of cereal box cardboard and tape with 4 fake screens and a keypad with raised puffy letters and imagined that I was watching various spots around LA. What was the drive behind all of this? I don’t really know. I suspect it was out of the hyperactive imagination of my bored mind, this urgency of being where the action is, I suspect.
Well, as pointless as this this and was, it seem THIS small piece of childhood had just come true. Now, if I can get ride of those damned of those commercials in the middle of the videos.
It's official! It's officially done! If you want information on how to get this perzine (with a three dollar price tag or a good trade), OM me fer details.
The Vegas zine is now officially 1/3rd done. I just finished the travel notes from my October trip and now I got to finish my main historical piece and then the biggest hurtle of all, laying the damned thing out in digest format. It ain't easy as it sounds with my new set up.
